Functional Training Small Group


EKU community we have a great opportunity for you! During the semester, on Monday and Friday's from 12-1pm with a max of 7 people.  Our certified personal trainers will be offering a training class for anyone that is interested.  It costs $30 per person. The first session runs through October 22th (excluding 11/23) and will continue until December 3.  These sessions will be held in the Kerns Softball room in Begley and the Fitness Floor in the Fitness and Wellness Center. 

These training sessions will be focused on foundational movements, conditioning, increasing muscle strength, decreasing body fat levels, improving sleep quality, and overall fitness!

Skiing/ Snowboarding Big Sky Montana

Adenture Programs will be taking students to Big Sky Montana for a 4 day journey filled with Skiing/Snowboarding.  Participants will stay in Huntley Lodge for a Ski in/out experience of Big Sky.  Just south of Bozeman Montana is one of the worlds most premiere skiing destinations.  Big Sky Resosrt has 4 major mountains connected by chair llifts providing opportunities for all skiing abilities. There is over 2,200 acres for beginners/intermediate as well as over 3,500 acres for advanced riders. The summit of lone peak sits 11,166 feet above sea level with the longest run being a woping 6 miles long!

Squat Clinic


EKU Campus Recreation has an awesome clinic available to anyone and everyone. Our personal trainers will be leading a Squat Clinic on November 30th at 1:30pm on the Fitness floor of the Fitness and Wellness Center. This clinic will include warm-up exercises (mobility and dynamic based), squat set-up, proper positioning, strength vs. power vs endurance programs, and the benefits of adding squats into an exercise routine. This is an event you won't want to miss!

Wellness Wednesday


All throughout the semester EKU Campus Recreation's Health Promotion will be having Wellness Wednesday on various Wednesdays.  The next Wellness Wednesday will be November 14th at 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Zone of the Fitness and Wellness Center! Each Wednesday will have a different health topic to learn about and this an event you will want to be at! 


The schedule for Wellness Wednesday is on these following Wednesdays; November 14th and December 5th.

Tasty Tuesday


Come and join the Health Promotion team for Tasty Tuesday from 4:45- 7:00 pm in the Zone at the Rec! We will have FREE healthy snacks for everyone to enjoy. The last Tasty Tuesday will be on November 27th. Get a quick power up before or after your workout, or join us just for fun! We hope to see you there!

Smoothie Power Hour


EKU Campus Recreations, Health Promotion will be hosting a Smoothie Power Hour once a month on Monday nights from 5-7pm in the Fitness and Wellness Center in the Zone.  The last Smoothie Power Hour is on November 19th. It's an event you won't want to miss and there will be tasty smoothies available for everyone!
