Hello Campus Community and SRC members,

We are thrilled to reopen our doors to you! Since the closure of our facility due to Covid-19 we have been working to develop and implement a plan that allows each of you the opportunity to work out within an environment that is as safe as possible.  We have modified some of our services, equipment, and facility areas in order to best serve that purpose.  These adaptations were developed using recommendations and mandates from the ACHA, the CDC, EKU officials, and the KY Governor’s Healthy at Work Requirements for Fitness Centers and Aquatic Centers. As new information becomes available, the Student Recreation Center will continue to make the necessary changes.

The Student Recreation Center has reopened in a limited capacity.

We expect that this news will generate questions and curiosity regarding policy, procedure, memberships, services, and more. Please reference the FAQ's below for all of the up-to-date details. Please reach out to us here if you have any questions.

Campus Rec Reopening FAQ's (last updated 8/10)

1. When will the Student Recreation Center reopen?

Commensurate with Students' return to the Richmond Campus, August 8th.

2. I am a paying member, what will you do for me? 

Paying members (does not include Students taking 5+ Credit Hours on Richmond Campus, or Fall '19 and Spring '20 Grads) will have their memberships extended for a period of time equivilant to the duration of time that we are closed (from March 12, 2020 until August 8th, 149 days). For example:if you had 100 days remaining on your membership, you will still have 100 days remaining on our reopening date. 

Payroll deduction has been suspended effective March 12, 2020, thru the reopening date. Payroll deductions will be reactivated beginning August 8th. In order to cancel your payroll deduction, please contact Ryan.Fisher@eku.edu on or before August 7th.

Current Non-Student MEMBERS! Please Click here to be taken to the MyCampusRec member portal and sign our new waiver. If you are a Fac/Staff member, please click "login" then click the ORANGE button, and use your campus email/password. All other members must click "login" then "local" (if you have registered before) or click "Sign Up" if you have not set up your MyCampusRec account. For a paper version, you can print, sign, and bring it with you by clicking HERE.

3. I paid for a locker to use at the SRC, what will Campus Rec do for me?

Patrons who purchased a locker:

  • prior to Jan 26th, will receive a 50% refund;
  • after Jan 26th but prior to Feb 29th, will receive a 75% refund; or
  • after Feb 29th will receive a full refund.

5. Can I get my belongings from my locker?

Campus Recreation staff whas safely bagged your belongings and labeled them with your name and locker number. You can come to the Student Recreation Center, Monday-Thursday, 8am – 12pm, 1pm – 4pm, to claim your belongings. Please call our office (859-622-6751) when you arrive at our main entrance, and we will bring your belongings to you.

7. Can I submit a reservation for the SRC / Weaver / Challenge Course / IM Fields?

We are now accepting reservation requests from EKU Departments and external parties. Please click here to get more information about facility reservations.
