How about taking sometime to try out paddle boarding before your first semester kicks off at Eastern Kentucky University. The first year C.O.R.E. trips can provide you with these experiences! These trips are not just about hiking and rafting they are about creating life-long friendships and preparing you for the first year of your college experience.
Hike by day, and camp around the fire by night, where a trained leader will introduce you to the many ways to navigate the peaks and valleys of your freshman year. We are outfitting two trips that will provide each student with a unique opportunity to begin their college career. Each trip offers you the opportunity to go backpacking, hiking, whitewater rafting, paddle boarding and more, but openings are extremely limited!
Transportation, t-shirt, food and equipment will be provided. Eastern Kentucky University student staff members trained in outdoor leadership and wilderness medicine techniques will lead the trips and help your student begin the transition into the college environment. This is our sixth year offering this amazing opportunity. Come join us for a memorable trip that will get you started on a successful collegiate experience!
