Colonels Camp
Colonels Camp is BACK for another summer, filled with fun.
WHO: Children in Kindergarten to Sixth Grade from the surrounding communities.
WHAT: Colonels Camp is Campus Recreation’s weeklong camp session for children. In addition to experiencing the Student Recreation Center and the EKU Campus, children will participate in a variety of activities including sports, games, rock climbing, crafts, swimming, team building, fitness classes, educational programs, fieldtrips and more.
WHERE: The Student Recreation Center at Eastern Kentucky University
WHEN: This summer, there will be 7 weeks of Colonels Camp:
- June 5th-9th (Adventure Week)
- June 12th-16th (Sports Week)
- June 19th-23rd (Art Exploration Week)
- June 26th-June 30th (Splish Splash Water Week)
- July 10th-14th (Lost in Space Week)
- July 17th-21st (Culture Week)
- July 24th-28th (Science Week)
- Each week of Colonels Camp is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
WHY: The overall mission of Colonels Camp is to provide children development opportunities of transferable skills, such as communication, teamwork, listening and critical thinking, while exploring all forms of recreation and having fun at the same time. Campus Recreation plans to achieve this through encouraging the children to participate in exciting activities throughout the week and effectively working together with other children.
PRICE: $130 +tax per week for SRC Members / $150 +tax per week for Non SRC Members
- Siblings rate are available for eadh week.
- A payment plan can be set up if paying the total amount of Colonels Camp is a concern. Please email Ryan Fisher for more information. For any established payment plan, the total amount must be paid off a week prior to the registered week of Colonels Camp.
